Care Visions Children’s Services

At Care Visions Children’s Services, we pride ourselves in making home a reality for children and young people who need a stable, loving environment when their parents are unable to look after them. We believe that every child has a right to heal and recover from trauma, abuse, and neglect and grow to achieve their full potential. Our foster families and therapeutic residential environments can help young people rediscover their childhood and achieve more than they thought possible. Our therapeutic model of care underpins our commitment to providing an individualised and flexible approach to meeting the needs of the children and young people we look after. Care Visions Fostering

Care Visions Fostering is a not-for-profit organisation that has grown steadily to become one of the leading independent foster care providers in Scotland. We have a reputation for giving our foster carers training and support of the highest quality. We utilise various therapeutic approaches including Theraplay based practice and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families (TCIF) to help our carers support children and young people with a wide range of needs. Care Visions Fostering has seen a steady increase in both the number of young people it cares for and the ability and expertise of its team of specialist fostering social workers.

Care Visions Residential

Care Visions began in 1998, at Orca House in Dumfries and Galloway, and has grown to have 30 residential houses across Scotland. Our houses are small, nurturing and homely, with the majority caring for between 1 and 4 young people, and one having space for 5. Care Visions Residential is fully accredited in the Sanctuary model, and this underpins all of our work with young people. Our innovative Why Not? programme supports young people into adulthood by creating lifelong connections for care leavers.
